Is your company fit enough, or running scared?

As the outlook for 2010 continues to strengthen, we should now look to see how ‘fit’ companies and their employees are as the economy strengthens. There have been a number of organisations that have shrunk right back this year in order to reflect demand across the UK as a whole. On that basis, there may have been many organisations that have been reliant on employees covering a number of different roles as well as their own.
As the market continues to gain momentum, I urge senior management within these businesses to look at their current workforce and analyse whether these individuals will be able to cope with increased work levels as the market swings upwards.
Business leaders need to ask themselves how ‘fit’ and motivated their employees are after such a challenging 18 months. Now is the time to reinforce growth plans and to ensure that staff feel inspired and enthused going forward.
David Cameron is claiming that he is “up for the challenge” for the race to no.10, as expressed in Sky News:

It would seem that David Cameron may need to strengthen his fitness levels over the next few months and businesses should do the same.
